Olympiacos by 12Let's look into this EuroLeague face-off folks, a delightful romp between the Olympiacos and Alba Berlin.
Starting with Olympiacos, it's hard to not be charmed by Sasha Vezenkov's performance of late, pumping out an average of 20.0 points per game and scooping up 8.0 rebounds. Evan Fournier, too, despite being slightly less prolific with 9.6 points per game, still manages to toss in a pretty wholesome 2.6 rebounds and assists. They're like Santa and his elf, except they're delivering losses.
On the other side of the court, Alba Berlin is depending heavily on their sharpshooter Matt Thomas. The man with two first names has been averaging 14.8 points, like a lightning rod of scoring. Meanwhile, Yanni Wetzell isn't far behind with his 12.3 points per game, and let's not forget Martin Hermannsson, who’s been playing catch with himself, dishing out 6.0 assists per game.
Looking back, Olympiacos have had the upper hand in their previous three duels against Alba Berlin, though the most recent game was a bit closer than the previous two. Still, it's starting to look like a classic story of cat and mouse, and we're all rooting for Tom, aren't we?
Peeping at their season records quickly will only leave Alba Berlin fans in tears. Olympiacos stands strong with a sturdy 22-10 record, putting them perched atop the Euroleague like a basketball-loving falcon, while Alba Berlin has been hobbling along the hiking trail, clutching a 5-27 record, sitting comfortably (or uncomfortably) at place #18.
