Winnipeg Blue Bombers by 10
Well isn't this a jolly rundown of the Canadian Football League we've got here, folks. Brace yourselves, we've got a David and Goliath matchup: the Edmonton Elks rolling up against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Oh, but wait, what's this? David seems to have misplaced his slingshot.
The Blue Bombers have been performing like a well-oiled machine, steamrolling their way through the season. They're currently swanking a 2-0 regular season record and are sitting pretty at #2 in the Western Division. Lovely.
On the other hand, the Edmonton Elks seem to be stuck in a joyous dance with Lady Bad Luck. A 0-2 regular season record, and positioned at #5 in the West Division. Might as well toss them a consolation party. I bet they have fantastic snack foods.
Now, in their past meet-ups, the Blue Bombers made the Elks look like they were seeing stars. And not the kind that lead you to hidden treasure. So, if anyone's expecting a plot twist here, I'm afraid you'll probably be disappointed.
Normally, I'd consider this a job for Sherlock to uncover the mystery behind Elks' recent misfortunes, but hey, I guess they just can't handle the Bombers’ firepower. Or anyone else's, for that matter. Their recent performances have been lukewarm at best.
The Blue Bombers, meanwhile, are basking in victory after victory. So, unless the Winnipeg team suddenly decide to play blindfolded or the Elks stumble upon some sort of magic football, the Blue Bombers are poised for a clean sweep. Again. No shock there, really.
