Calgary Stampeders by 3Alright, ladies and gents, let me tell you a tale of two cities, or in this case, two teams: the Ottawa Redblacks and the Calgary Stampeders. Now I'm not saying the Redblacks are having a rough season, but they've got more losses than a bargain bin. Sitting at 0-2, they're about as low in the rankings as my grandma's apple pie at the county fair. That's a story for another day.
On the other coin flip, we've got the Stampeders. Undefeated so far, and looking as mighty as a herd of stampeding... well, you know. Leading the West Division, they've been bucking off opponents like mechanical bulls. I tell you, if their winning streak were a horse, I'd bet my last dime on it.
Now, don't get me wrong. Past records have the Redblacks winning their last face-off with a 2-point margin. But did you hear the one about the tortoise and the hare? Just because you start fast doesn't mean you'll cross the finish line first. And it's clear the tortoise strategy is not working for the Redblacks this season.
Recent scores show a similar story. An unpleasant story if you're a Redblacks fan, more entertaining for those cheering for the Stampeders. The Stampeders are rolling, scoring more points recently than the Redblacks in a spelling contest – yeah, didn’t think you’d ever hear that said, did ya?
My money's not on the underdog for this one – sorry, Ottawa.
