If I didn't know any better, I would think we're watching Infinity War with the Shenzhen Leopards. I mean, infinity points? Those are some stats! But jokes aside, Sonny Weems, Xining He, and Markell Johnson have all put compelling numbers on the court last month. It's a real triple threat.
On the other hand, the Jiangsu Dragons' Archie Goodwin, James Thompson, and Frank Jackson are far from pushovers. Particularly, Goodwin's 25.5 points per game average last month is something to keep your eyes on.
Now, if we take a trip down memory lane, we see that the Leopards have triumphed over the Dragons in all of their past five encounters. Yes, the Dragons breathed some fire here and there, but Shenzhen's defense always came out on top.
And, I hate to be the bearer of bad news here, folks, but the Dragons' regular season record isn't exactly... stellar. They're lagging a bit with a 6-38 record, compared to the Leopards' 16-28.
Now, I know what you're thinking. "But Albert, what about recent results?" Well, my dear listeners, it's a bit grim on both ends. The Leopards seem to be taking a bit of a catnap with four losses in their last five games. The Dragons, though… it's not a hot streak. More like a cold draft with five straight losses.
To put the cherry on top, we've got our standings – Leopards are sneaking around at 13th place, while the Dragons seem to have taken up residence in the basement at 20th.
Given all this, I believe the Leopards will continue their winning streak against the Dragons. Maybe it's time for Jiangsu to invest in a bigger, fire-resistant basket?
