Zhejiang Golden Bulls by 3
Well, well, well, if I had to spend a Sunday evening doing anything else than discussing the CBA matchup of Zhejiang Golden Bulls and Jilin Northeast Tigers, I might just fall into the dreary abyss of boredom. Ladies and gentlemen, let's dive right in.
The Zhejiang Golden Bulls are thumping their chests with players like Qian Wu and Shuaipeng Cheng, who not only doubled down on their game last season with 15.1 and 16.3 points per game respectively, but also showed commendable contributions in other areas of the game. Don't you forget about Jiahao Yu, the man may not have had the most dazzling of assists, but with 14.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game last season, he brought a sizable chunk to the Bulls' buffet.
On the other side of the court, we have Jilin Northeast Tigers cracking their knuckles. Dominique Jones and Weizhe Jiang didn't quite enjoy a holiday last season, stacking up points in the mid-teens. And Yuxing Jiang oozed determination with an impressive 16.2 points per game. They're no cohorts of slackers, I can tell you that much.
Now let's reminisce about the past for a moment. Historically, it has been a rough and tumble between the two, with slight edge to the Bulls. Both teams, comically identical in their recent luck, are sporting the scar of a solitary loss this season. I have to say, it's easier to predict the weather in a British summer than this matchup. And as far as their current rankings go, there isn't a ton of daylight separating them—18th and 16th for the Bulls and Tigers respectively.
After looking at all this, I feel as though I'm trying to build a sandcastle with dry sand. It's a close call, but just a smidge in favor of Zhejiang Golden Bulls. The numbers talk, and the Tigers need a bit more roar in their game.
