My Prediction
Basilashvili in 3 sets.Ah, the aroma of fresh tennis balls and the clatter of rackets must mean we're diving into the Croatia Open. In our sights, we have Roberto Carballes Baena going head to head with the unseeded Nikoloz Basilashvili in a Round of 32 match-up.
From the one side of the net, we have Baena, the six seed - and boy, hasn't he had a run of bad luck in recent times. In his last five matches, he only managed to dispatch Taberner. The others? They sent him packing with not even a whiff of a tie-breaker. He's been outplayed, outpaced, and outmaneuvered. But, you know, everyone loves a comeback story.
Now, let's direct our binoculars to the other side of the net, shall we? Here's Basilashvili, unseeded and unnumbered. Yet this lad is going strong. Yes, he's had a couple of recent bumps on the road, but he also managed to bag three wins out of the last five matches.
