If we're looking at picking the ripest tomato here, it's an interesting salad, to say the least. You've got David Goffin, a chap more seasoned than the cod at your local chippy, holding the sixth seed position, but with recent form as reliable as a used car salesman's promise. An unfortunate losing streak is likely causing a dent in his confidence, save for a sole win against Landaluce.
On the other side of the net, we have the unseeded Juan Manuel Cerundolo, paradoxically favored despite his own summer slump. Fresh from his recent victory over Struff, one could say Cerundolo may have a bit more wind in his sails and a dash more salsa in his dance.
Factoring in that Goffin took a beating from Cerundolo's kin earlier this year, which might add just a tad bit of psychological intrigue to this matchup. All this makes it seem like Cerundolo, while inarguably the underdog by seed, might just pull it off.
So, pass me that crystal ball, would you? Albert's Prediction: Cerundolo in 3 sets.
