Cerundolo in straight sets.Ah, the upcoming match between Francisco Cerundolo and David Goffin, isn't it a treat? Now, let's not beat around the bush. Goffin, bless his unseeded heart, has been playing a bit like a yo-yo recently. One day he's demolishing his adversary, the next day he's falling short. His inconsistent performance can be best described as a roller-coaster ride with too many drops.
On the contrary, we have Cerundolo. The 5th seed has been channeling his inner titan and showing a fine form of late. He's been taking down his opponents like dominos, in straight sets mostly. His gameplay beautifully polished, and his victories have a lovely rhythm like a well-composed symphony.
Goffin might have a few shiny victories here and there, but consistency, my friends, is a sweet virtue. And for that reason, I wouldn't bet against Cerundolo, the man on a roll.
