I've got one phrase for the Sydney Swans, and that's ‘Down Under Wonder.’ Or, let's be serious, should it be ‘blunder?’ It's Round 16 and they're sitting uncomfortably at number 11 in the standings, closer to the bottom end. A bit of a sorry sight, wouldn’t you agree?
Now on the other side, we've got the Western Bulldogs, and they're certainly in the dogfight for the top eight with pretty fierce teeth. And let's take that walk down memory lane…the Bulldogs have had the edge over the Swans in recent clashes, with that 39-point victory as fresh as a sizzling barbecue prawn.
At the moment, Sydney's form is as unstable as kangaroo on a pogo stick, they're up and down like a yo-yo. Their recent victories against Richmond and Port Adelaide have been admirable, but abysmal efforts against Adelaide and Melbourne have rather tarnished their shine.
As for the Bulldogs, their vicious bite has been quite a sight in recent times - setting Richmond up for adoption and sending St Kilda to the doghouse. Yet, they have stumbled a bit with Hawthorn and Geelong. Granted, even the best of us trip up sometimes, no?
Both teams have had their fair share of stumbles and strikes. But if this is a bone-chewing contest, I'd have to throw the bone to the Western Bulldogs. The Swans might squawk, but from what I see the dogs have got this in the bag. Sigh... oh Swans, I'll be right here playing my tiny violin for you...
Albert’s Prediction: Western Bulldogs by 9
