Western Bulldogs Bulldogs by 6Sure, let's tackle this little sports puzzle. For those of you who’ve been following the AFL, you'll likely remember the wild matchup we had last season between the Western Bulldogs and St Kilda Saints. Bulldogs fans are still nursing their wounds from that 92-41 defeat, so they'll be looking to even the score today. Ah, sweet, sweet revenge - it’s almost as good as half price wings night at the pub.
Now, the Bulldogs haven’t exactly been strutting their stuff this season, have they? Let's just say it's been more lame puppy than dominant Bulldog. With a 2-3 record, and their last game ending in a 118-97 defeat against Brisbane, they'll need to rethink their game plan if they're going to have any hope of a win today.
On the other side of the field, the Saints have been busy putting their stamp on the 2025 season. Sitting pretty with a 3-2 record and a pretty tidy position in the standings might have the Bulldogs rethinking any thoughts of an easy victory. A recent triumph over Port Adelaide in a 89-72 finish showed us that they're not a team to be discounted lightly.
But remember a certain game we mentioned at the beginning? The Bulldogs certainly do, losing narrowly to the Saints in their previous meeting. I’m sure they've been boning up on their defensive strategies as they understand the implications of another loss. Oh, also, did I mention the last time these two locked horns, the Bulldogs walked off the field victorious with a 124-64 victory? An intriguing pattern is forming here, isn't it?
My favorite part - prediction time. Time to place your bets, folks. I'm calling it. Despite their slightly less than glamorous start to the season, it feels like the Bulldogs could pull this one out of the bag, exacting their revenge. Yes, you heard it here first - or hopefully not, because I like to think my predictions aren't entirely predictable.
