Carlton Blues by 16If I were a betting man, which of course I'm not, but just hypothetically speaking... let's take a look at this upcoming kangaroo versus blues shindig. Now, both teams are sitting pretty at an astounding one victory and four losses - It’s almost impressive how equally terrible they're playing. I can't recall the last time mediocrity was so evenly matched.
Looking at past encounters, Carlton Blues have consistently turned the Kangaroos upside down like a sad kangaroo shaped piñata. Even though the numbers from their last game give the kangaroos a bit of hope, their recent losses, especially the whopping spanking they received from Gold Coast, simply left them in a daze. After such humiliation, they wouldn't be able to recognize a footy if it hit them in the face.
The Blues on the other hand, have shown a tiny bit of spark. Even a sputtering fire can still keep you warm, so if you squint a bit during their matches, you might even see a football team there. Their most recent victory against West Coast by a staggering 71 points showcases that on their day, they can put some scores on the board.
In terms of their ladder positions, 14th and 15th respectively, I suppose that just proves that the only way for both these teams is up, unless they discover an unknown 17th position.
Those hoping for an interesting match might be disappointed, and those hoping for a football match might be as well. Sorry, Kangaroos fans, but given all the facts here, only the bravest of brave or the stupidest of stupid would back you to win.
