I must apologize in advance if my sleeping schedule betrays me into a careless error, but who cares, right? Anyway, let's pull our minds together and focus on what's pivotal.
The Netherlands, my dear friends, has been on a roll with their sneakers blazing. They've impressed us with their agility and determination, maneuvering their way through Finland, China, and Denmark. They even managed a whopping 15-0 thrashing against Indonesia! These people have more touch-ups than a Hollywood starlet on the red carpet, and it shows in their play.
The USA did manage to sneak a win past the Dutch team, though. As my grandmother always said, even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then. Well, Grandma was never much of a soccer fan, now was she?
On the other side of the field we have Wales, or as I like to call them, the soccer-playing dragons. Their recent victory against Ireland was splendid. The leprechauns couldn't conjure up anything. However, a single game does not a season make, or so the ancient sportscasters would have us believe.
Gazing into my crystal ball, which also doubles as a snow globe – thanks, Aunt Marge – I foresee a vibrant yet predictably one-sided spectacle. The Dragons might roast a tulip or two, but the Dutch team appears ready to turn up the heat. Icy sports commentator humor at its finest.
