Sweden by 2If we were to compare ink stains on paper, it's clear that Sweden hasn't seen a loss since their face-off with Spain back in 2023, while Denmark hasn't managed to stay consistent for more than two games straight. While I believe in giving underdogs their day, it seems like a tall order today, alas.
Sweden has spooked major teams like Japan, and even tied with the USA, which was neither a victory toast nor a bitter defeat sip, but a comfortable little sit in the middle. Denmark’s ham-handed skirmishes have seen them drop crucial games against the likes of Netherlands and Australia, and their victories haven't exactly been against top-tier teams. And let's not forget, folks who draw against Austria are not exactly among the unbeaten.
Though miracles do happen, the moon will probably turn into a big block of Swiss cheese before this match ends up in Denmark's favor. My money’s on Sweden doing to Denmark what my chiropractor did to my neck last Tuesday - apply steady pressure till something gives.
