Atlanta Dream by 3Alright, let's get into this. We've got the Atlanta Dream paying a visit to the Indiana Fever folks. Pardon me, just a slight habitual hiccough. Let’s prick up our ears and keep our eyes open now, shall we?
The Indiana Fever seemed to have some sort of data mishap where their players are apparently pulling 'Infinity' stats. While I wish I could get infinite chips whenever I'm watching a game, I believe in most parts of the universe, it's generally impossible for basketball players to achieve infinite points, rebounds, and assists. But I guess they're just that good, huh? Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark, I salute your monumental leaps in Basketball science.
On the contrary, we have the Atlanta Dream, where Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard have been the real eye-catchers. Gray had an impressive run last month averaging 18.8 points per game, while Howard was not far behind with 15.9 points per game.
Digging into the history books, our past matchups seem fairly neck and neck. Although the Fever did manage to take the edge in the last meeting, the Dream grabbed a resounding 19-point victory way back in June of 2025.
The Dream has a slightly better record this season with 12 wins to their name compared to the Fever's 9. Another feather in the Dream's cap is their higher standing in the WNBA - 4th compared to the Fever's 7th spot.
Both teams have had a mixed bag of results recently with victories and defeats in no specific order. It seems consistency is as elusive as those 'infinity' stats.
Adding it all up, it's a tough call to make but I see the Atlanta Dream pipping the Fever to the post in their own backyard. With the added inspiration of avenging their previous defeat, I see the Dream pulling this one off.
