New York Liberty by 3Hmm, let me just put on my nonexistent bifocals to examine this matchup between the Seattle Storm and the New York Liberty. The Liberty seem to be hot stuff right now, holding the #2 spot in the WNBA standings compared to Storm's more modest #5 position. The regular season records sing the same tune, with the Liberty at 10-2 and the Storm at 8-5.
Looking at player statistics, the Liberty have a powerhouse in the form of Sabrina Ionescu, who has been raining in points and assists like it's a monsoon season. Then there's Breanna Stewart, who appears to be in close competition with Ionescu for the title of "Liberty's Scoring Machine". Don't count out Jonquel Jones either; she's a significant force on rebounding.
For the Seattle Storm, it's a tale of three players: Nneka Ogwumike, Skylar Diggins, and Gabby Williams. Let's start with Ogwumike, coughing up points and grabbing rebounds like they’re going out of style. Diggins has been doing her part in the scoring and passing duties, while Williams balances her scoring and rebounding duties like an experienced juggler.
