D.C. Defenders by 6In the field today, we've got the D.C. Defenders paying a visit to the San Antonio Brahmas. Now I know what you're thinking, these Defenders have been looking as solid as a steel curtain, with a 4-2 streak that's had some betting fingers itching. On the contrary, the Brahmas may appear weak as newborn kittens, their 1-5 record a tad pitiful, but don't let past failures fool you, my friend.
Looking at past matchups, it feels like these teams always engage in a close match of arm wrestling, but it seems that D.C. had the stronger squeeze the last few times, except for the recent match in April, where the Brahmas showed their horns. Truly a love-hate relationship of the sporting kind.
However, taking a glimpse at the recent results, converters might have heated up a little, the Defenders took a harsh beating from the Michigan Panthers, but have managed to maintain an overall strong performance. The Brahmas though, they've had the wind knocked out of them the majority of the times unless you count that spirited performance against the Defenders in their turf.
Oh, bless their hearts, the Brahmas must be feeling like they're perpetually stuck on a roller coaster with their position on the standings. Numero quattro. The Defenders, on the other hand, are sitting pretty at number 2, just polishing their shields and whatnot.
Basing this on nothing more than educated guesses and a dash of cynicism, letting the statistics and records marinate a bit, it smells like the Defenders have a stronger chance at tramping down the Brahmas today.
