Oh my goodness, isn't it just a spectacular day for some United Football League dollops of wisdom, or as I like to call them - obnoxiously accurate predictions! Now brace yourselves, ladies and gentlemen, and hold onto something heavy as we dive right into the Memphis Showboats visiting the Michigan Panthers.
Now notice how judicial time doesn't really play out well for our Memphis friends here. If we glance back upon yonder to their previous merry dances with the Panthers, it would seem they've been left with the short end of the stick more times than not. And by that, I mean they lost...all three times to be precise. History, they say, does like to repeat itself, doesn't it?
Speaking of repetitions, the Showboats have been riding a three-game losing streak this regular season. Not really the ideal scenario for an away game, is it? Oddly enough, three seems to be their lucky number with the Panthers sitting pretty at 2-1 for the season. Strange how numbers work.
It's not really a jolly jamboree for the Showboats if we look at the recent results of both teams. The Panthers, quite robust competitors, sauntered past their recent encounters whilst brandishing a charming 'we own this' smile. Meanwhile, Memphis keeps on ringing that 'so close but yet so far' bell.
In the grand scheme of things, Memphis may be dubbed the 'David' to Michigan's 'Goliath' as they are #4 USFL, with the Panthers roaring at #1. Sometimes though, little David just doesn't have enough stones in his pouch.
So if one were to say their gut feeling keeps them reeling towards Memphis...I'd recommend some antacids. And if you're still struggling to conclude? Well, let's just put it this way; if this were a chess match, I'd be picking the Panthers to say 'checkmate,' and it won't be a close call.
