Lyon by 3Fancy a trip down the rabbit hole of rugby predictions? Strap in, because this matchup is curly. We have Stade Français taking on Lyon, two teams just dripping with inconsistency.
Stade Français, blessing the 13th position in the Top 14 rankings, haven't exactly mastered the art of winning this season. With a record that looks a touch like my golf score, 8-15, their recent results aren't exuding confidence either - having chalked up losses against Perpignan, Racing Metro 92, Toulouse, and Montpellier.
Switching over to Lyon, dosed heavily in mediocrity sauce, are anchored at an uninspiring 8th spot. They've blown hot and cold like a malfunctioning car AC with their 10-11-2 win-loss-tie record. Trouble is, their engine seems to be stalling recently with more losses than I have ex-wives, most recent being a stinger against Pau.
In the nostalgia department, past matchups between these charming little medleys have been the rugby equivalent of a seesaw. If we dust off the history books, Lyon have had bigger points hauls recently, but the last laugh was taken by Stade Français.
