Castres Olympique by 3Alright, let's get down to brass tacks here. We've got Castres Olympique going head-to-head with Lyon in round 17 of the season. We've got quite the history with these two teams and their previous matchups leave no doubt that they'll give us a game worth watching. Take a gander at their past meetings; Castres Olympique and Lyon have taken turns trading blows. Sometimes Castres came out on top, sometimes Lyon took the victory, and the scores...well, let's just say they've been a bit on the spicy side.
To add a splash of intrigue, the regular season records are pretty closely matched – with 8-7-1 for Castres Olympique and 7-7-2 for Lyon. I'd say they're neck and neck, wouldn't you?
However, examining their recent form, Lyon seems to be in a better phase, they haven't tasted defeat in their last five games. They did a big number on La Rochelle—who I remind you can be quite a handful—handing them a 53-17 drubbing. Taking all this into account, my dry, old noggin predicts a pretty tight game. I reckon Castres Olympique, with their higher standing position and effective overall style of play, might just edge out Lyon in this one.
