My Prediction
Inter by 3Oh, what a treat we have today! Inter and Monza are squaring off yet again and let me tell you, this isn't your grandma’s bingo night.
For Monza, we've got Stefano Turati and Semuel Pizzignacco manning the goal with ratings of 7.37 and 6.40 respectively. They've had a total of 16 saves between them, but I'm not overly confident that'll be enough today. On the Inter side, Josep Martínez and Yann Sommer are guarding the net, ringing in ratings of 7.50 and 7.0 and racking up an impressive 19 saves between them.
Now, let's break down the players. Monza's shining stars are Armando Izzo, Danilo D'Ambrosio, and Keita Baldé. Sadly though, and I speak directly to the football gods here, where are the goals folks? Meanwhile, Inter boasts Lautaro Martínez, Francesco Acerbi, and Benjamin Pavard, with Martínez and Stefan de Vrij scoring a goal each recently.
As far as history goes between these two teams, I believe history does repeat itself, the recent matchups have mostly been in Inter’s favor. We love seeing a closely contested match but these aren't exactly suspense thrillers.
The regular season records make Inter look like they've been eating their Wheaties with 17 wins compared to Monza's measly 2. It's like comparing the strength of Hulk and Ant-Man (No offence, Ant-Man).
The recent game results don’t exactly sugarcoat anything for Monza either. Their last few games have been about as successful as a vegetarian at a barbecue. On the other hand, Inter’s performance has been a little shaky but certainly not panic-inducing.
After carefully analyzing all these stats, if I take my heart out of it (which is on vacation anyway), it seems clear.
