My Prediction
Boston Fleet by 1Ah, the age-old clash of the Sextants and the Maple Leafs. Well no, not really, we just have the Boston Fleet squared against the Montreal Victoire. But who's keeping track?
I mean, if these past few matches were anything to go by, we’d probably have an easier time predicting the weather. They’ve practically been passing the trophy baton back and forth. Most of the past few matchups have Boston and Montreal in a classic 'tu me frappes, je te frappe' scenario (that's a little Québécois for you).
But enough of my rambling, let's talk turkey.
Now, Montreal, despite taking a few recent L's, managed to pull off a regular season record that slightly outpaces the Fleet. Boston, on the other hand, has been having mixed-bag results lately, as unpredictable as a public restroom's hand dryer.
But let's not forget hockey is like my ex-wife: cold, hard, and only listens to Canadian rock. I jest! Hockey, like my marriage, can surprise you.
So, despite the betting odds favoring Montreal, given past performances and a semi-lukewarm run, I'd wager the Beantown bunch have an edge here over Quebec's finest. Who knows? Maybe they've got a secret weapon to deploy—one that forces Montreal to forfeit before the brawl.
I mean, match! Like a comedian on a roll, 'eh?
