DrawLet's dive headfirst into this big clash between the Montreal Victoire and Ottawa Charge. Oh boy, you can already smell the excitement or is that just my sandwich from yesterday? Anyway... The scoreboard from their past meetings clearly has a bit of a sketchy relationship, very on and off. 3 out of 5 games saw Montreal rising like a phoenix, the Canadian version obviously, not the Arizona one.
If we take a shortcut to this regular season though, it's like staring at two mirror images. Both teams show off with their fancy 11 wins, but Ottawa seemed to lose a bit of steam in their overtime matches. Montreal, on the other hand, got 6 OT wins tucked nicely under their belt. Giving a tiny, but nonetheless, lead.
Moving along the timeline towards their recent results, I couldn't help but notice that Montreal's numbers must've been inspired by their weather forecast: a bit chilly. With 4 lost matches out of 5, it seems like it's not only the Montreal fans who are left cold. Ottawa's recent form isn't exactly sunshine and rainbows either, but they bring a solid 2 win, 2 lost and one tie to the table.
Judging the equality of the teams, betting money on a draw would be the safest option. Is it the most exciting? Probably not. Unless you're thrilled by symmetry, and who knows, maybe you're into that kind of thing.
