Matt McCarty by 2 strokes
Alright, let's sink our teeth into this. At the Black Desert Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, one rather unavoidable thing to mention is Matt McCarty. He's perched at the top with 23 under par, even though his tour ranking is a little lackluster at 76th. His performance in the recent Sanderson Farms Championship landed him in the 63rd position, but he seems to be doing a lot better here.
Now, look at Stephan Jaeger; he's sitting pretty at position 2 with 20 under par. His tour ranking is somewhat better at 57th, and his recent performance in the same Sanderson Farms Championship saw him finish at 23rd, a number that looks almost prophetic now.
Last but certainly not least, we have a two-way tie at 3rd place. Kevin Streelman and Lucas Glover both hanging on tough at 19 under par. Here's a tiny little funny fact for you: Streelman isn't even in the top 200 of the tour rankings, sitting at a gorgeous 274th. Glover is doing significantly better with a 49th tour ranking.
The last rounds saw Schmid and Glover leading, both with round scores of -9. They did manage to make the green jealous, huh?
Anyway, taking into account my intuition fueled by a cup of too-bitter coffee in the office, I'm going to bet on this horse. So ladies and gents, behold:
Albert’s Prediction: Matt McCarty by 2 strokes.
