Sydney Roosters by 8Ah, a scruffy round 15 rumble between the Newcastle Knights and the Sydney Roosters, now that's an interesting pyrotechnic of a match worth waking up at an ungodly hour.
Poking into the dusty files of former stomps and jabs, the past squabbles have been as tight as a miser's purse strings. Knights seemed to have found a chink in Roosters' armor back in 2022, but Roosters have since retaliated like a scorned lover, swiping the last two victories by a hair's breadth.
Now, looking at the current season narratives, both teams are about as balanced as a one-legged flamingo. Sydney Roosters are practically in the middle of the pack, snapping at the heels of the top dogs, while Newcastle Knights, well, let's just say they're sucking up the rear like a hoover. What's interesting, though, is their nearly mirrored win-loss record, it's like looking into a funhouse mirror, minus the fun.
Recent tuffles get more engaging, though. The Knights started to rise like a phoenix from the ashes, dusting their plume off after a fine duel against the Manly Sea Eagles. Diagonally opposite, Roosters had a minor tumble against the Canberra Raiders, amidst some flashes of brilliance against the Sharks and Dragons.
Inevitably, when predictions hang in the air like an unpredictable boomerang, it boils down to relying on law of averages, intuition or in this case, understanding that the weather for Roosters, despite the minor clouds, is considerably sunnier than the struggling Knights.
