Yomiuri Giants by 2Okay, let's dance! We've got the Yomiuri Giants taking a bus ride to play against the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, and this is shaping up to be quite a game folks... I mean friends.
Straight off the bat, let me say, if history were sushi, the Giants would be a platter of Toro Nigiri. They've been serving up some master-class performances with 5 consecutive victories over the BayStars. Add a pitch of salt to this snack, we see the Giants maintaining a slightly better regular season record than the BayStars. A fact as surprising as wasabi up your nose.
But remember, baseball is not a history test. The recent performances of both teams are like two teriyaki chickens, similar but not the same. The Giants recently had a run-in with the Erik Barnes, quite literally, as they lost their last match. On the flip side, the BayStars managed a draw against Tokyo Yakult Swallows, after a drubbing by the Hanshin Tigers. They're as inconsistent as my Aunt Sally's bean casserole.
In terms of matchups, the Baystars are the underdogs here. However, they have won 1.5 more points spread-wise, kinda like adding an extra scoop of ice-cream to a root beer float. Doesn't mean a lot, but could tip the scales if the Gods of Baseball are in a mischievous mood.
