The Hanshin Tigers will be hosting the Tokyo Yakult Swallows. Now, these two teams... let me tell ya, they have some history. Recently, it's been a bit more favorable for the Tigers. They’ve snagged the win in 3 out of the last 5 meetings. Hallowed sports traditions, who can resist ‘em?
Okay, let's have a quick peek at the regular season records. The Tigers are sitting pretty up the ladder with a 50-32 win-loss ratio. Now, contrast that with the Swallows, who, bless their hearts, have a sadder sight to behold at a struggling 24-49! It's like the story of David and Goliath, if Goliath was actually expected to win.
Looking at recent results, the Swallows have been fluttering around quite a bit. A game where they beat the Tigers, an equal score draw with Yokohama... it’s all very intriguing and confusing. The Tigers, on the other flipper, have a nice bushy tail going on - if you ignore the game they lost to the Swallows, which we absolutely will.
Now hold onto your hats; we are almost at prediction time! Given the dominance of the Tigers lately, I'm unconvinced that the Swallows will be able to upset the applecart on this one. I'm seeing a Tigers' victory, but with the Swallows doing enough to be annoying. Sort of like those seagulls that steal your hot chips at the beach.
