Saitama Seibu Lions by 1Call me crazy, but I suggest you keep your eyes on the underdogs here. Now, don't get me wrong, Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles have been pretty consistent; however, their recent performance against Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters doesn't inspire much confidence. Losing three solid games on the trot? Man, that's a bit grim.
On the other hand, we have the Saitama Seibu Lions, who certainly aren't purring like kitties this season but have shown some teeth when it mattered. Their win-loss count may not feature a seismic disparity, but they've clawed their way up whenever facing the Golden Eagles. Sure, the Lions had their tails punched in the last outing, but it's not every day they're gonna bring out the meow mix, right?
Avid followers of this great game will remember the Lions' glorious 6-0 thrashing of the Eagles back in May.
