Hiroshima Carp by 2Ah, the smell of fresh grass and the crack of a bat, it's as though we were there, folks... Eh, I mean, can't you just feel it? We have the Hiroshima Carp visiting the Yokohama DeNA BayStars on their home turf. Quite the spectacle, I must say.
Now, the BayStars are looking fancy schmancy based on odds, but let's not forget our last three encounters have seen the Carp squeak out victories, clawing tooth and nail. The Carp are on top when examining recent head to head showdowns.
What about the season records, I hear no one ask? Well, the Carp are swimming upstream, almost double the wins of the BayStars. A rocky road for the BayStars indeed. Their recent form is as encouraging as a rain delay, with five straight losses, it's like watching a sad kid drop his ice cream, over and over again.
The Carp, on the other hand, bucked their last match with a tasty 7-1 win over Tokyo Yakult Swallows, which must've been as enjoyable for them as a mud bath is for a pig.
Look, you didn't hear it from me, but if a chameleon were to put money on this, it'd probably choose to blend in with the Carp colors. I mean, who am I to argue with a chameleon?
