Chiba Lotte Marines by 2Ah, there's nothing quite like a good old fashioned match of Nippon Professional Baseball, is there? We have the Saitama Seibu Lions squaring off against the Chiba Lotte Marines. The Lions, they've had a bit of a rough start to the season, currently sitting below .500. That's like going to a sushi bar and getting the grocery store california roll, not exactly hitting the mark there.
Now, the Marines on the other hand, they're not exactly setting the world on fire either. Their record is just slightly worse than the Lions', but hey, someone's got to lose, right? In terms of recent matchups though, the Marines have been holding the upper hand, making the Lions look more like kittens, if you will.
But let's look at recent form. The Lions managed to get ahead of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks and the Orix Buffaloes, which is akin to winning a cookie eating contest where the only other contestant is a dieting hamster. The Marines have seen somewhat more formidable opponents, and have had mixed results.
And when these two teams faced off most recently, the Marines, well, they came out on top. So it's not looking too rosy for the Lions.
Despite their somewhat meek record, the Marines seem to have the Lions' number. So really, if you're betting on this game, it's like betting on whether the sun will rise tomorrow. It's pretty cut and dry with the evidence at hand.
