Yokohama DeNA BayStars by 2
Ah, listen here. This matchup is as interesting as a cheese sandwich. Hiroshima Carp showed their strength early in April, repeatedly reeling in the BayStars. But, guess what? They've been flopping like a fish out of water recently, especially against these same BayStars. On top of that, their skin's been burnt by the Hanshin Tigers too. Hard to build confidence on that, isn't it?
On the other side of the diamond, Yokohama DeNA BayStars have been, well, more like a faintly glimmering celestial body than a shooting star. They've suffered losses to the Hanshin Tigers and then split their recent bouts with the Carp.
However, the BayStars seem to have found their stride with those two latest wins against the Carp. Kind of like that guy who keeps swiping on dating apps without much luck, and then suddenly finds a match that's actually interested. Could these recent victories be a sign of them finally figuring out how to stay ahead?
Summarizing this convoluted mess, I’d say the BayStars narrowly edge it, but hey, don’t blame me if one of those Carp miracle plays comes out of nowhere. Some salt and vinegar for your pre-game chips, folks... but scratch that folks part, alright?
