UCLA Bruins by 6Allow me to unspool some sporty conjectures for you ladies and gents. We're dealing with a tantalizing NCAA Women's Basketball semifinal matchup on our hands. Yup, it's the Ohio State Buckeyes decked at #13 in the AP ranking sauntering into the Bruins' den—that's #4 UCLA for you!
The Buckeyes boast an impressive roster with noteworthy players like Jaloni Cambridge, who has dished out an average of 17.6 points and 4.7 rebounds in recent games. Cotie McMahon too, impressive with her 17.8 points per game. However, when we scout out the Bruins, we have young Lauren Betts who sinks 19.4 points per game and rakes in a wholesome 10.8 rebounds, ain't that a sight? Don’t let me start on Kiki Rice, whose stats for the past month have practically been on fire with 12.7 points and 5 assists on average.
Looking at the regular season, the Buckeyes are having a merry run with 25 wins and 5 losses, while the Bruins are enjoying a stroll in the park with 28 wins and just 2 losses. If we take the time machine back to their last face-off, UCLA Bruins already showed the Buckeyes who's boss, coming out on top 65-52. And if their recent hot streak is any indication, the Bruins seem to be lounging comfortably in their den.
Now, I understand if Ohio State fans feel like I've been sandbagging their team, but let's call a spade a spade, shall we? It's not that the Buckeyes don't stand a chance, but the Bruins are just bringing an extra dose of 'oomph' to the party. You can't blame me for tipping my hat to them.
