TCU Horned Frogs by 3Let's dive right into this gauntlet of a game. We've got the TCU Horned Frogs, ranked #10, visiting Baylor Bears at their den, who are ranked #17. Looking at the regular season records, TCU Horned Frogs have outperformed Baylor Bears, strutting around with a 27-3 record, compared to the Bears' not-so-shabby 25-5.
When we turn our attention to the leading ladies on the court for TCU, we see some serious firepower in Hailey Van Lith and Sedona Prince. Hailey has been dribbling circles around her opponents with her 17.9 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, and 5.6 assists per game this season. Sedona isn't far behind, averaging 17.8 per game this season and proving pivotal with her 9.1 rebounds per game.
On Baylor's side, Darianna Littlepage-Buggs and Aaronette Vonleh are the ones to watch. Darianna has a remarkable last month's stat of 17.8 points per game and 10.8 rebounds per game. Aaronette, too, has been holding her fort with 12.4 points per game.
However, history plays its part, and reflecting on the past matchups between these two, we see some balance with last two wins going to TCU Horned Frogs and preceding two in the pocket of Baylor Bears. But sports, my dear friends, isn't always about living in the past. It's a game of now.
As I cautiously peer into the crystal ball of past results, the Horned Frogs have been riding a high, slamming down Houston Cougars, West Virginia Mountaineers and Arizona State Sun Devils recently, with significant margins to boot. Baylor Bears' recent games do show wins, but the margins are less impressive.
The AP rankings, though, tilt the odds in favor of TCU a bit, standing tall at #10 compared to Baylor Bears' #17.
