North Carolina State Wolfpack by 20Oh, man. Prepare to strap in for this clash between the North Carolina State Wolfpack, who are, and I can't stress this enough, 9th in the AP rankings, and the Southern Methodist Mustangs who, well, aren’t. Sorry folks, not even in the top 50... or 100 for that matter.
For the Wolfpack, Zoe Brooks and Aziaha James have been lighting up the court recently. Brooks is dropping almost 18 points a game in the past month, while James is netting a neat 18.5 points per match. Saniya Rivers and Madison Hayes are also lending notable contributions, but let's just say that Tilda Trygger and Zamareya Jones might want to step it up here.
On the Mustangs' side, the optimist in me wants to recognize the efforts put forth by Jessica Peterson and Nya Robertson for their double-digit point averages. Let’s not forget the younger Pitts, TK. She’s been a contributor as well, but someone needs to sprinkle some magic Mustang dust on the rest of their roster.
The records reflect the story here. The Wolfpack boasting a robust 23-5, while the Mustangs are limping in with an uninspiring 10-19. Recent results? Well, you've seen it. Wolfpack's pretty dominant, minus that heartbreaker against the Tar Heels. The Mustangs? Uhm, what's the polite way to say this? They've had better days.
