Tennessee Lady Volunteers by 26Alrighty then, let's dive headfirst into this collision of talents, folks - it's time to break down the imminent clash between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Tennessee Lady Volunteers. Tennessee, sitting confidently at #11 in the AP Poll Rankings, is certainly not a team to be trifled with. Their top players, Talaysia Cooper and Lazaria Spearman, have been ripping fibers in the court all season, producing numbers that even calculators can't keep up with.
Cooper's been lighting up the scoreboard, averaging 16.8 points per game in the past month. Spearman hasn't been too far behind either, chucking 13 points onto the scoreboard per game. Let's not forget Jewel Spear either, generously offering 14.3 points per game. From where I'm sitting, it looks like these Volunteers are volunteering to make the Bulldogs' defense look like Swiss cheese.
On the other side of the court, we've got the gritty Georgia Bulldogs. Their top performers, namely Trinity Turner and Mia Woolfolk, are putting up respectable numbers but it's like bringing a bicycle to a Formula 1 race when compared with the force of Tennessee. Turner's pitching in with 11.3 points and Woolfolk's contributin with 9.8 points per game in the last month. Not exactly the same spectacle of firepower.
Tennessee and Georgia have had a bit of a history. In their past two matches, Tennessee took home the dubs like someone bringing home bulk warehouse groceries. The Volunteers leashed the Bulldogs with a 22 point lead in the most recent game and a 13 point lead in the match before that.
The regular season has been a pretty cruel mistress for the Bulldogs too, with a rather mournful 11-18 record compared to Tennessee's attractive 21-7. Looks like the Bulldogs might still be in the pound while the Volunteers are out there volunteering for victory.
By the looks of recent matches, well... let's just say Tennessee has been dancing while Georgia's been stumbling. Tennessee took their last five matches without a hiccup, while Georgia, bless their hearts, are looking as patchy as a poorly maintained lawn with a mix of wins and losses.
So if we're talking predictions folks, it's not a wonderful day in the neighborhood for Georgia Bulldogs. The Tennessee Lady Volunteers are more likely to walk away victorious while the Bulldogs are left chasing their tails.
