Minnesota Timberwolves by 3In this interesting match-up, we're focusing on the Timberwolves visiting the Lakers, currently leading the playoff series 1-0. The Timberwolves have been proving their doubters wrong so far, and seem to be riding on the exceptional performances of Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels. Edwards is currently posting a remarkable 22.0 points per game this playoffs, which makes the wolves grow louder. McDaniels, not to be outdone, is hammering down 25 points. If you're not agog at those numbers, get your heart checked, sport!
As for the Lakers, we still have a rambunctious Luka Dončić, pulling up some head-spinning 37.0 points per game this playoff, while LeBron James, the man who's old enough to be some of his teammates' dad, is still making darn good contributions with 19.0 points per game.
But youth and numbers aside, we must take note that Lakers hasn't been on their best run recently. Then again, every garden has its weeds, doesn't it?
Despite these, let's not take good ol’ traditions off the table here. In the past affairs, it's been a real do-si-do between the two, but considering the most recent results, the Timberwolves seem to have a firm footing - especially considering their dominating win just a while ago.
Yet, the wise would know it isn't just about winning one off matches, it's a whole series folks – err, I mean, distinguished listeners. The positions in the standings can't be ignored nor the wolves' proclivity to be gleefully unpredictable.
Considering these factors – like a genius figuring out the right amount of cayenne pepper in a curry - my gran's recipe, you see - I'm making my call. Though it feels akin to jumping off a cliff with a questionable parachute, I'd say put your money where the wild wolves are.
