Marching right into this Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox game, no time to waste on saccharine introductions.
The Twins are showing up with our man Festa on the mount and to be fair, Festa’s ERA of 5.21 isn't something to write home about. On the other hand, the Red Sox are looking hot with Fitts pitching, sporting a spotless 0.00 ERA. If things were a contest among the pitchers, I think it's pretty obvious where my money would go.
In the batter's box, the Twins are leaning on Farmer, Larnach, and Wallner, all boasting commendable averages and home runs for the season. The Red Sox, however, are hoping for another great game from Duran, Gonzalez, and O'Neill. Not to mention Casas who's definitely made some solid contributions. Looks like a showdown, doesn’t it?
The previous match-ups lean heavily in favor of the Twins. They've been treating the Red Sox like construction paper on a kindergarten craft table. However, take a quick glance at their recent performances, and it seems like the Twins have been showing signs of last-minute jitters. Do we sense an edge of chaos or opportunity?
Both have a close regular season record and the game's being played at Fenway Park, where hitters have been known to really strut their stuff.
So, putting all these ingredients together and stirring the pot, here's what I am supposed to do. Sum up the possibilities, make some sense of the numbers and finally, pull out the prediction straight from the odds-master’s hat.
