My Prediction
Paris Saint-Germain by 3First thing we're noting here: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), they're the big dogs in this dogfight. With an impressive 22-5-0 regular season record, they've been trashing teams left, right and center. Looking at the most recent results, they've been hitting the back of the net more frequently than a hyper active kid with a soccer ball in the backyard, having scored 16 goals in their last 5 matches. Their top players too have been in blistering form, particularly Désiré Doué (8.13 rating) and Ousmane Dembélé (7.43 rating) who have been finding the net with relative ease.
We zoom in on Angers now, and it's clear they have been struggling in the recent times. Would you believe it? They haven’t been able to taste victory in their last 5 matches! Their goalkeeper, Yahia Fofana with his 20 saves and a rating of 7.20, might be promising - but let's be honest, he's going to need more than a pair of gloves against the offensive onslaught that PSG brings. In the player department, Haris Belkebla and Jordan Lefort seem to be their best bets, but somehow, both are yet to dent the scoreboard .
History favors PSG too, with them scooping up the last 3 encounters against Angers, outscoring them 8-3 across those matches. Quite entertaining I must admit, but not for the Angers fans I reckon.
