To throw some light on the match, let's concentrate on the players now, shall we? Football isn't chess; it's not all about the king, or in this case, the goalkeeper. But their place on the board can change the game. Nantes' goalie, Anthony Lopes, has been somewhat good with a rating of 6.97 and 9 saves. For Nice, Marcin Bułka has been better, a 7.15 rating and 12 saves. You see what I'm getting at here.
For Nantes, keep an eye out for Saïdou Sow and Marcus Coco. Accuracy with the ball can be a game changer, and Sow's pass accuracy of 84.4% stands out. They also have Mostafa Mohamed, whose goal and shot ratio is 1 on 1. Pretty impressive, you could say. There's more to this list but well, these are the ones, mostly, making the magic happen.
Moving on to Nice, Evann Guessand is on fire with a rating of 7.30 and 2 goals from 4 attempts. Not only is he aiming for the goal post but he's not shy about it either. Gaëtan Laborde is also showing potential though he hasn’t found the net yet, with 3 shots on the goal. Tom Louchet’s performance isn’t one to be dismissed either.
As they say, history repeats itself...sometimes, not always. Not sure if it's going to hold true here but in past matchups, Nantes has managed to upset Nice a couple of times. They've tied a couple of games and Nice has managed a solitary win against Nantes.
Season records tell a different tale, however, with Nice marching ahead with 13 wins, compared to Nantes' 6. Looking at the recent games, one might argue that Nantes is on a bit of an unlucky streak, but remember my friends, luck is fleeting. Conversely, Nice also fumbled a bit in their last games but managed to bounce back.
Back to our million-dollar question: who'll walk away with the bragging rights this time? Drum roll, please. From where I'm sitting, and taking everything into account, I'd put my money on -
