Puebla by 1Despite life's unpredictability -- like why we still don't have jet packs -- let’s turn to something slightly more certain, football, or as I like to call it, the beautiful guessing game. Puebla and Club Necaxa, folks. A name reminiscent of a dish on a Mexican restaurant menu, Puebla's been cooking up some not-so-appetizing performances recently. They could use a dash of confidence, seeing as their recent record looks like a binary code from some dystopian future, with more losses than a lost and found box.
Their recent encounters with Necaxa are an odd mix; they've had their buns toasted in some games, and yet played surprisingly well in others. I guess that shows how unpredictable that secret recipe of football really is.
Now, let's look at Club Necaxa. Something about their name sounds like an energy drink, and boy, they’ve been running around like they’re fueled by one. Their regular season record has been quite electrifying, but with performances like a yo-yo recently, it's not as straightforward as rolling out a winner.
Keep in mind lady luck always has her say in football, but if my crystal football is to be trusted (which has a success rate only a notch below fortune cookies), my money would probably be safer under a mattress. But here goes, based on past performances, current form, and a little love for the underdog:
