My Prediction
Yokohama F. Marinos by 1Sure thing, I always love a good Yokohama derby! Alright, in the blue corner, we have Yokohama F. Marinos, who have Park Il-Kyu at goal. This chap has been a bit elusive and managed to make 5 saves with a decent 6.45 rating. On the field, they have some solid players such as Jeisson Quiñónes who's quite the pass master with his 94.0% accuracy; and let's not forget Anderson Lopes, who, despite the name, isn't Brazilian... he's Japanese. Now, he's managed to net one this season with a rating of 6.95.
On the flip side of the coin, we have Yokohama FC. Their goalkeeper, Akinori Ichikawa, managed to get a rather anomalous high rating (6.60) for having only made 1 save - so there's something worth watching. On the field, Akito Fukumori and Boniface Nduka are keeping things tight with their respective 7.45 and 7.15 ratings.
Yokohama FC seems to have undergone a bit of an "I can't believe it's not a goal" phase recently with just a single win in their last 5 matches. However, let's not forget their solid victory against Vissel Kobe, which was probably during a time when even the sun had sunglasses on.
The Marinos on the other hand, look to be experiencing a slightly greyer hue of days, given their recent drawn match and loss, but have previously shown resilience.
Combining everything, including the minor detail that there's something funny about these games that doesn't come up in the stats, I'm predicting it's going to be a close call.
