BC Lions by 2Oh, what an electric match-up we have today. The mighty BC Lions are moving their pack to Winnipeg, ready to add yet another notch to their winning belt. Now, I must remind you, the Lions seem to have found an extra gear this season, sitting pretty atop the West Division after a splendid start.
Didn't you just frown? Surprised about my confidence in the Lions? Well, hold on, I know the Blue Bombers have quite a fanbase. And yes, they've shown their mettle in past confrontations. And the BC Lions have surely not forgotten the donuts they scored last year, making them look as threatening as a bunch of kittens playing with a ball of yarn. But scores have been settled and today's a brand new day.
Rocketing off this season with an impressive 31-14 win against the Edmonton Elks, BC Lions have come out the gates faster than a lion spotting free steak. And remember, they're now up against a team that hasn't had an outing yet. I mean, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, our darlings of the #4 position, might just be the least prepared team in the division right now.
Now, I'm not saying the Bombers should roll over and show their belly. Far from it. They did hold their own against the Toronto Argonauts, giving them a good shellacking. A splendid rally, if I do say so myself. But will that be enough against a team lighting up the scoreboards like the Lions? I think not.
And let's delve into the fascinating whims of fortune for a second here. I have it on good authority that the Lions aren't just playing for glory, they've got bucks riding on every roar. You could say that every tackle, every touchdown is more than just a game for them.
Ah, predictions, predictions. Well, it's a tough gig, I tell you. I mean, I do get it wrong sometimes, like that one time I predicted I’d have a six-pack by summer. But here goes. I personally see the BC Lions chalking up yet another win on their board, perhaps not a landslide, but victory nonetheless.
