VfB Stuttgart by 1Talking about two swell teams here in the Bundesliga folks, we've got VfB Stuttgart squaring off against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Now, if we're looking at those goalkeepers, Stuttgart's Alexander Nübel is slightly trailing behind Borussia's Moritz Nicolas. If I was a betting man, I'd probably put my money on the guy with 15 saves rather than 6.
Stuttgart does have that delightful duo of Angelo Stiller and Ameen Al-Dakhil. Angelo's got a 7.63 rating, which is nothing to sniff at, although Borussia is boosting some firepower of their own, with Marvin Friedrich and Tim Kleindienst leading the lineup.
While we're in the memory lane, last matchups between these teams suggest a clash of titans. Venturing back to 2023 and 2024, Stuttgart prevails in 3 out of 4 games, but Borussia is not looking like easy pickings in those encounters either.
Stuttgart's regular season record is slightly better with 9 wins and 5 draws, while Borussia is holding at 8 wins and 3 draws. And speaking of the recent streak, Stuttgart seems to be in better form. Stuttgart amped it up against Freiburg and RB Leipzig recently, though they stumbled a bit against Mainz. Mönchengladbach had a stunner against Bochum, but they've been seeing stars in other recent matches with typically stronger teams.
