Garin in straight sets.All eyes seem to be on Cristian Garin and Camilo Ugo Carabelli in this thrilling round of 32 match up at the Swedish Open. I must say, this is shaping up to be quite the bout, not because they call it tennis, but because they'll probably be serving up something closer to an intense game of pinball.
Now, onto our man Cristian Garin. Garin swings in and out like a haute couture model at a Paris fashion week, currently unseeded, but don't let that fool you. His recent courtship with victories is torrid, at best, as he swerves and curtseys through the tournament grappling out solid wins against Rodesch C., Habib H., and Maestrelli F., despite taking a tumble against Rinderknech A. and Zeppieri G. In translation, he's in love with the net, just like your neighbor's dog with that doorbell.
As for the touted and seeded 5th player, Camilo Ugo Carabelli, well, things have been grimmer than an English summer! His recent history reads like a Shakespearean tragedy. Five straight loses with Giron M., Quinn E., Opelka R., Munar J., and Etcheverry T. all swatting him off the court like a bothersome fly. Safe to say, love has been a scarce commodity for our chap.
In the spirit of being uncharacteristically predictable, my money's on Garin. I guess Ugo Carabelli is getting in touch with his stubborn side and insisting on being the king of heartbreaks!
