Moving onto our Eastbourne International Round of 16, it's like a tennis-themed David vs Goliath up in here. Pack a lunch - we've got the formidable Taylor Fritz meeting our buddy João Fonseca over on the grass court.
Fritz, currently grinning ear to ear as the tournament's top seed, has been enjoying some quality tennis recently. Despite a shocker against Moutet, he's churning out victories faster than I can churn out these witty comments. Notably, he gutted top players like Zverev, Auger-Aliassime, and Fucsovics with naught but love for their games.
Meanwhile, our unseeded Fonseca seems more like a roller coaster that has just a few too many drops. He has shown he can mix it up with winners over Bergs and, impressively, with a straight-sets victory against Hurkacz. But let's spill the tea here, he's also tasted defeat against lesser opponents Cobolli and Draper.
Considering the recent performances, I'd wager that Fritz boasts a shiny spear against Fonseca's sling. But who knows! Sometimes you get a mighty gust of wind and that spear goes right back in your face. Regardless, my coin is on Fritz.
Albert’s Prediction: Fritz in straight sets.
