de Minaur in straight sets.
Let's take a quick review at Alex de Minaur and Alexander Bublik's upcoming showdown at Roland Garros, because nothing says fun like discussing some intriguing clay-court tennis, am I right?
De Minaur has been showing some serious pizazz on the court of late. His most recent triumph over Djere, a blazing straight-set victory, really got the crowd on its feet. He's had a couple of setbacks though, courtesy of Paul and Musetti. Yet overall, De Minaur has shown great gusto, making the number 9 seed placing well earned.
Bublik, on the other hand, has been giving me a bit of a whiplash. The highlight of his recent performance was a clean sweep over Duckworth which was refreshing, to say the least. However, he's dropped games against Ruud, Mpetshi Perricard, and Mensik. Being unseeded isn't helping his case either. His inconsistency of late doesn't exactly inspire much confidence.
Now, when we rewind back to their previous encounters, Bublik can't seem to score a point. Losing two previous matches to De Minaur, it's starting to look like a tradition.
So, if we're talking the straight odds here, my money's on De Minaur and that's without even dipping my toes into the world of mathematics or fortune telling. All that evidence, you'd have to love the Australian's chances, wouldn't you?
Albert's Prediction: de Minaur in straight sets.
