My Prediction
Richmond Tigers by 1Dearly beloved, we gather here not for a eulogy but to analyse this round 10 mashup, an epic collision between the Richmond Tigers and the North Melbourne Kangaroos. The scenario is straight out of a Shakespearean play, a tale of two bottom-feeders, wallowing in the murky depths at 16th and 17th place respectively. Bottom of the barrel and looking up – what a time to be alive!
Let's jog our memory a bit- a journey into the past reveals a head-to-head split. Those Kangaroos put up a good show, with a 90 to 77 victory last time around. If memory serves right, the Tigers struck back earlier, with a neat 101 to 72 smacking. Oh, the sweet taste of revenge!
Now, we could dwell on past glories, but let’s face it, with ongoing win-loss records like a dodgy used car's mileage, who are we kidding? The Kangaroos are at 1-7-1, while the Tigers aren’t doing much roaring themselves, sitting at a woeful 3-6.
But wait! There's a glimmer! The Kangaroos were last seen huffing and puffing their way to a draw, while the Tigers savored a narrow victory. And yet, reminiscing over their recent struggles brings to mind a pack of sled dogs - lots of huffing, lots of puffing, but just not quite getting there.
Despite the odds favoring those cute marsupials, it's hard to bet against the cats. I think this may just be the week those Tigers sharpen their claws, straighten their whiskers, and leapfrog the Kangaroos. A close shave, but that's the way the cookie crumbles, folks!
