Greater Western Sydney Giants by 12Well, isn't it grand to see the Western Bulldogs try to take another bite at the Greater Western Sydney Giants? But let's not ignore the elephant in the room, that being the historical performance of the two teams. Our beloved Bulldogs seem to struggle quite a bit when its the Giants on the other end of the field, which happened to be the case in three out of the past four meetings. Not a very charming record, if you ask me.
And, if history is anything to go by, it seems the Giants are still dusting off the cobwebs early in the season, considering they've already lost twice. But, ah, don't let that fool you! They're currently sitting pretty at number 4 in the standings while the Bulldogs are sitting.. well, not as pretty at number 9.
Now, let's chat about the recent performances. These Bulldogs have been a bit of a hot and cold team recently, with some solid performances scattered with a few disappointing defeats. An inconsistency not exactly ideal when betting big bucks. The Giants, despite a meager showing against Adelaide, have clocked some hefty scores, like trouncing West Coast with 132 points.
In review, the Giants are the favored team by the bookies, but don't rule out these Bulldogs. They have their spells of brilliance. Still, their inconsistency and somewhat soggy performances against the Giants in the past make them a bit of a risky bet. Do pardon me, dear Bulldogs fans.
