Sabalenka in straight sets. Talk about deja vu, this upcoming match makes me feel like I'm stuck in a tennis edition of Groundhog Day. Aryna Sabalenka, the human backhand machine, is stepping onto the court once again against Marta Kostyuk, who seems to still be circling the wagons.
Looking back, our Belarusian bulldozer has already welcomed Kostyuk to the world of "love", defeating her twice previously without a hiccup. It’s almost like watching Tom chase Jerry, but with rackets involved.
Now, I imagine some believe Marta Kostyuk could give Sabalenka a run for her money, considering her recent gallops over Potapova, Kudermetova, and Raducanu. But mind you, she also tasted defeat at the hands of Pegula and let's not overlook Sabalenka who's been stamping her authority on the court like she's marking her territory.
