Michigan Panthers by 2Alright ladies and gents, grab your helmets and tighten those chin straps as we're looking at a matchup between the Birmingham Stallions and Michigan Panthers. Now, taking you on a short nostalgia trip back to the good ol' days of 2024, the Stallions pretty much have had the Panthers fans hitting their heads against their BBQ grills, winning all of their past matchups. Sharpens up the history sense, doesn't it?
However, can past glory really hold the Stallions up? This season has been rougher than a rookie's first week out there. They've got a record of 0-1, stark contrast to their impressive past performances. They fell short recently too, against the D.C. Defenders. It seems the Stallions might have lost their threatening gallop and are now just trotting while the Panthers have polished their claws, as evident by their solid record of 1-0.
Now while all of you Stallions fans sit up and roll your eyes, let's look at the bigger picture. The Stallions are currently holding the #3 spot in the USFL and our dear Panthers are sitting quite comfortably at #1.
Given the recent scenario and remembering a commentator's job isn't to entertain delusions of grandeur, I'd say the Michigan Panthers are going to claw their way to victory. Laying my cards on the table here, but the Panthers' performance recently and their killer instinct gives them an edge over their competitors.
