This Serie A matchup sees Roma facing off against Monza, and might I add, what a show we're expecting! Now, let's dissect this game to its bones.
Monza's net seems to be safe with goalkeepers Stefano Turati and Semuel Pizzignacco. Turati, with his 7.47 rating, has been using stronger hands than a blind date at dinner with 11 saves to brag about. Pizzignacco, as well, isn't too far behind with a decent 6.65 rating. On the other side, Roma's Mile Svilar might need to brush up his diving skills, considering his rating of 6.83.
The top players are where the plot thickens; Monza's Danilo D'Ambrosio and Stefano Sensi look promising, boasting respectable stats, and their passing game shines brighter than your grandma's Sunday jewelry. However, they seem to have left their shooting boots at home, judging by those zeroes in front of the goal stats.
Now, let's shift our gaze to Roma, who have Matías Soulé and Gianluca Mancini amongst their finest. These chaps seem to have been hitting the target with more shots on goal, and look at Soulé, the only player who decided to turn up with goals on the stat sheet, cheeky lad.
Looking back at the past matchups, it's almost as if these two teams shared a script, with Roma taking the cake in two out of the four recent skirmishes, while the other two ended in a stalemate.
If we judge them by their regular season record, Monza seems to have been playing 'Pin the Loss on the Donkey' while Roma seems to have decided to at least try and win the game every now and then.
Recent results also speak louder than a circus barker. While Monza couldn't win a game of checkers against a pigeon lately, Roma's been enjoying a decent stretch, maybe thanks to some strong Italian espresso after all.
So, with all this in mind, roll the drums… my prediction coming right up.
